I took this picture while we were eating in a restaurant in New York City. That's my dad; he loves to try new restaurants.

Did you ever wonder how much money to leave for a tip in a restaurant? A good amount is 20% of the bill. So, if the bill is $30, you should leave $36 - that's $30 for the food plus a $6 tip. 20% of 30 is 6.

Did you know there are some easy ways to figure out the tip? Here is one of them. To find 20% of the price of your meal, just move the decimal one place to the left, then double that amount.

For example, if my meal was $53.00, I would move the decimal one place to the left. That gives me $5.30. That's 10% of the meal. Then I double $5.30 and get $10.60. That's 20%, so that is how much the tip should be. I love this method because I can do it easily in my head.

How much money should I leave for the tip if the meal cost $24.00?
