Do you ever experiment with photography? I do. I like to try different shutter speeds and see what happens. The shutter speed tells the camera how long it should keep its lens shutter open when the photo is taken. The shutter speed is usually less than one second. If the shutter stays open for a very short time, moving objects will appear frozen in the photograph. If the shutter stays open for a longer time, moving objects will look blurry in the photograph.
One of these photos was taken with a shutter speed of 1/15 of a second. The other was taken with a shutter speed of 1/500 of a second.
